Lynn E. Taylor, MD

Lynn E. Taylor, MD, Assistant Professor of Medicine (Research) at Brown Medical School, is an HIV specialist focusing on prevention and treatment of HIV, hepatitis C virus (HCV) and related diseases in vulnerable populations and on the primary care of injection drug users. She developed and directs Miriam Hospital’s Coinfection Program, providing comprehensive viral hepatitis care to patients with comorbid psychiatric disorders, drug use and frequent interaction with the criminal justice system.

After graduating from Harvard, Dr. Taylor completed medical school at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, and internship and residency in General Internal Medicine at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital. Dr. Taylor completed an NIH/National Institute of Drug Abuse Research Fellowship at The Miriam Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island in 2005 on prevention and treatment of infectious complications of substance use including HIV, HCV and hepatitis B viruses and improving health care delivery to substance users coinfected with HIV and viral hepatitis.
