Genentech/Roche - Access Solutions Genentech/Roche's Access Solutions provides information about and help with getting Genentech/Roche medications. Services include in-house Specialists who can help with insurance issues, reimbursement issues, medication co-pays, free medications for those who qualify as well as treatment support programs.

Gilead
Gilead is the producer of sofosbuvir (Sovaldi) and ledipasvir for hepatitis C. Gilead's U.S. Advancing Access® program provides assistance to patients in the United States who do not have insurance or who need financial assistance. As part of this program, Gilead provides assistance for people who cannot afford to pay for a variety of drugs used to treat hepatitis B, such as Viread® (tenofovir disoproxil fumarate) Hepsera® (adefovir dipivoxil).

Kadmon Pharmaceuticals
Pharmaceutical web site that features information on hepatitis C with resources for medical providers and patients. Offers various services for people on HCV therapy including assistance with insurance reimbursement. In an effort to enhance their patient support programs (K.E.Y.S.) some changes have been implemented. Kadmon has expanded its copay benefits for the Ribasphere RibaPak Co Pay Savings card from $25 to $5 and also extended the income eligibility requirements from 200% to 500% of the federal poverty level for our patient assistance program. Partnership for Prescription Assistance
Patients will be directed to the public or private programs most likely to meet their needs. The Partnership for Prescription Assistance helps qualifying patients without prescription coverage.

Vertex
Vertex provides a comprehensive financial assistance and patient support program to help people get INCIVEK who might not otherwise be able to afford it. The program helps people learn about insurance benefits for their medicines, provides INCIVEK for free to eligible patients who do not have insurance and provides coverage for co-pay or co-insurance costs associated with INCIVEK for people who meet certain program criteria. Additionally, nurses are available through a 24-7 hotline by which patients can receive support, guidance and educational materials.

Hep C Quilts
The Hep-C quilts are made up of patches submitted by people from all over the world with Hepatitis C. They are sewn together by Marie Stern in her spare time. Marie possibly contracted the HepC virus in 1978 and Auto-immune Hepatitis several years later, and this is her way of helping the HepC community to be heard and seen. The first quilt was created in 1996. It became so large that Marie started a separate one a year later. There are now four quilts for display with the fourth one having blank squares to be filled in at functions. (new photos to be displayed soon) The quilts are available for display at various public and private functions.

U.S. Preventive Services Task Force
The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force makes recommendations for testing for certain conditions and diseases. Their recommendations can affect whether a physician will order a test or even alert their patients that there may be a disease that they could or should be tested for. Please read the draft statement carefully. There is a link on the right-hand side of the page that will take you to a webpage that will allow you to make comments. Please let U.S. Preventive Services know what you think about their recommendations whether you agree or disagree with their recommendations or if you think the language and recommendations should be stronger. It could make a difference in how USPSTF recommends testing for HCV.
